2010 – Photos Details New Lancia Stratos Firts Released

A recreation of the 1972 Lancia Stratos was photographed while testing at Alfa Romeo’s Balocco test track in northern Italy.

This remake, which is based on the structure and running gear of the Ferrari F430 Scuderia, will be revealed later this year. The funds for this remake were supposedly provided by a car enthusiast industrialist for his sole use; however, it’s possible that it will be produced in low numbers for other customers. Pricing wasn’t announced yet but since it is a one-off, it’s likely to run up to seven figures. This remake is believed to have gotten its inspiration from the 2005 remake created by the Fenomenon design consultancy that was shown at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show.

According to insiders, the car had an amazing performance and was able to beat all the benchmarks set for it. Many speculations came out because of the fact that the car was tested at a Fiat Auto facility.

The wheelbase of the aluminum F430 spaceframe structure has supposedly been reduced to get the right proportions. Te original Stratos was renowned for having an exceptionally short wheelbase that made it very maneuverable in its primary role as a rally car.italiaspeed
