2010 Volvo : 4 Cylinder Crate Motor 1,6 GTDi Make One’s Debut

News -  Beginning from the next Volvo autumn will start the commercialization of the new 4 cylinder crate motor upsets benzine from 1595 cm3, called GTDi and proposed in the versions from 150 CV (T3) and 180 CV (T4). This new unit distributes in both the 240 configurations Nm of brace, even if the presence of the overboost allows the 30 T4 to earn Nm “at call” with a constant availability of newtonmetri between 1.600 and 5.000 turns/tiny.

The 1,6 GTDi is realized entire in aluminum and arranges from variable timing VVT (Variable Valve Timing), while the direct injection comes executed to a pressure of 100 bars. The first cars to use with the 1,6 GTDi will be the S60 and V60, offering in the versions T3 and T4. Less powerful it will come bound together to the single manual transmission to six relationships, while 180 CV will be equipped of series with the manual change and in option with the Powershift to six grafts.

Both offer the function “DRIVE”, comandabile through a button that manages the Start& system; Stop (only for the handbook) and the device (only for the automatic rifle) for the putting in crowds with pedal of gas at rest and the car in motion. In the next few months the 1,6 GTDi will come rendered compatible also for the E85 mixture.
