After entering the vehicle battery B-Class F-Cell fuel, Mercedes-Benz presented the Class EA-cell, the second electric car built in production conditions. The new car will be produced in a limited edition of 500 units to be built in Rastatt, as in autumn 2010. As expected, powered by two AA-size lithium-ion battery that offers high efficiency full range of over 124 miles (NEDC), or 200 km with electricity.

The batteries provide a total output of 95 hp and maximum torque of 290 Nm to 0-37 mph (60 km / h) speed in just 5.5 seconds, while the sprint 0-62 mph (100 km / h.) takes about 14 seconds.
The top speed is electronically limited to 93 mph or 150 km / h Because the batteries are installed, the new car has a low center of gravity, which means it has excellent handling characteristics and maneuverability. In relation to the cooling of the battery, the vehicle has a thermal management system to a cooling system, which maintains the batteries at low temperatures within a window of optimal temperature cooled down.
The system is cooled by a mixture of water and glycol. The new Mercedes-Benz class AE-cell battery via a single phase points, three outlets of 230 volts phase to the wall of the house-box, and the public recharging points. With a 230 volt single phase of the network, it takes a long time to gather around eight hours a day the energy for a range of 62 miles (NEDC) is required, 100 km. This period is only three hours for the performance of a housing wall or road pricing point reduced.
